HARRODSBURG,KY- With little time to recover from their game against Oakland City, Campbellsville University Somerset traveled to Mercer County High School for a game against Campbellsville University Harrodsburg. CU Somerset held the lead for most of the game and headed into the locker room at half with a 35-25 edge. An offensive surge by CU Harrodsburg allowed them to close the gap and turned the final minutes of the game into a shootout. In the end, CU Somerset falls to CU Harrodsburg 82-86.
The Maroon and White were led by the efforts of Josiah Williams. Williams finished the game with 20 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Also scoring in double digits were Mykal Hamilton (16), Hunter Stevens (12) and Malik Lovan (12). Leading rebounder for the Maroon and White was Alvin Thomas with nine rebounds to go with his six points, five assists and three steals.
CU Somerset has little time to recuperate as they turn around and host CU Harrodsburg on the evening of October 11. Tip-off for the Tigers' home opener is set for 7 p.m.
